1953 Chris Craft 17’ Rocket.This is a great postwar double cockpit . All numbers matching, build record on hand. 95hp K that moves this lightweight boat along pretty good. I am fairly certain that it had a full engine rebuild in the past, burns no oil, even compression and great oil pressure at idle and cruise. Good chrome, new windshield glass, original bottom in good condition, bottom paint should be bright yellow. Everything works as it should. Original Chris gauges working and all deck hardware is correct. Interior and carpet was replaced in the past but not to original specifications. A great looking boat of a manageable size. Very presentable but could use a few coats of varnish on the top deck. Has storage cover. Rides around beautifully on its roadworthy Shorlander bunk trailer. Yearly bearing service completed and has a new spare. Stored in SW Ontario, 1 hr from US border (Port Huron Mi.) and spends its summers at Port Carling, Ontario.
