22 Feet 1953 Shepherd Utility
I purchased this boat back in 2007 as a project when I owned Pecks Marina in Ivy Lea, ON, on the St. Lawrence River. It sat in my workshop until 2019 when I finally started working on her full restoration. I turned the boat over and put on an all-new 5200 bottom, then flipped her back to work on the top sides. All new mahogany decking, wiring, engine mounts, and flooring. Gas tank was steam cleaned and epoxy coated inside. Instruments are new as is the upholstery. Chrome was redone as well. The windshield unfortunately is a plastic replacement but glass can be obtained and installed. "Black & Tan" has only been in the water once last year and for 1 month so far this year (2023). The new engine is not yet fully broken in and needs to be run easily for another 10 hours. This boat is very stable and reliable with all systems being new. Varnish and paint all in very good condition.
19 Feet 1961 Shepherd Model 105
Until last summer this boat had been in a boat house on an Ontario lake since new. It is all original except for some of the upholstery and the stern light. The 318 engine runs and sounds great. All wood in sound condition and bottom just recaulked and painted. Chrome is fair and varnish presentable, but could use a new coat. Currently in boat lift on Smith Mountain Lake, VA. No trailer included, but a good yard trailer is available.

22 Feet 1956 Shepherd
"Kukri" was my father's daily commuter since 1956 and I took her over after his death. We owned a marina on Georgian Bay so she was always kept in top shape. I had her rebuilt in 2008 and work included a new transom, some planking, new floor, interior, seats, top, 2 tonneau covers and the engine and transmission were completely overhauled. Since then I have kept her in an as new condition. She is lying in Parry Sound, Ontario.
22 Feet 1954 Shepherd Runabout
Shepherd boats are well-known for their strong construction and dry ride in rough conditions. This 22 footer has been under single ownership for 30 years and went through a comprehensive restoration by Butson Boats in the 1990's, which included a bottom replacement, full refinish, and a custom interior. She has been in indoor storage for the last few years and her varnish, chrome, upholstery, etc are still in very nice condition. Equipped with the quintessential Shepherd dual spotlights on the curved windshield. Well-powered with a Chrysler Crown, dual-carburetor M47S engine with a 12V system. A nice older restoration that has been well-kept!
22 Feet 1953 Shepherd Runabout
In the water last season and ready to enjoy. This 22' Shepherd is in very nice condition and has had much work done recently, including a new fuel tank, general tuneup, and paint/varnish. Excellent rough water boat, built in Niagara on the Lake. Interior, chrome, finish, etc all in very good shape. Shepherd boats are very popular for their build quality, high freeboard, and comfortable ride.
25 Feet 1963 Shepherd Express Cruiser
I got this to make a playhouse for my grandkids. Then after some research I realized that it is a treasured boat when restored. It is in rough condition but everything seems to be there including the drive train. I think it would be best if it was saved rather than scrapped as I realize that these boats are treasured by folks who appreciate Antique and Classic boats.

I am the third owner of this original Shepherd, boathouse kept for many years in Canada then barn stored by a collector. I keep it in a boathouse all summer and the bottom does not leak. New Mercury 4 Stroke installed in 2018. Runs great!! Much faster!! New flooring and fresh varnish on the entire hull in 2021. Has the original convertible top which can be used as is but should be replaced at some point. This boat needs nothing!! Easy to handle and fun.
