This exceptional launch, built in 1921 at Port. Carling, Ontario, has called Lake Tahoe, CA home for the past 38 years. Lovingly restored in 1979, 1999, and a total restoration again in 2004. The boat has been featured in such publications as Classic Boating and Lakers and Launches. The original F4 Scripps 65 HP engine pushes this launch at speeds up to 18 mph. With appointments such as original brass fittings, and Forest Green Italian leather and wicker seating, all the classic components come together in this original launch. This boat has received numerous awards at the Concours d'Elegance event at Lake Tahoe over the years, including Best Of Show. Matheson was one of many small boat builders out of Port Carling that made boats from 1906 to 1924. They would go on to form the basis of the Duke Boat Company and were highley regarded for their attention to detail and high standards. This boat has a glass bottom and recently had the decks stripped and refinished.
