1955 17’ Vintage Chris craft Sportsman. This survivor has been in freshwater all its life. All original wood - no rot anywhere. Bottom professionally fiberglassed and new bottom paint. Very good condition older upholstery. Boat was purchased from second owner who kept it garaged for 28 years. I replaced the 4 cylinder motor with a Chevy V-8 and a Borg -Warner velvet drive 1 to 1 ratio. New AFB carburetor. NOS exhaust manifolds and risers, water pumps and cooler. All new hoses, belts and wiring. New roller timing chain and roller rocker arms. 2 new fuel filters and new fuel lines from tank to carburetor. New oil pump. All new motor mounts. New shaft, flange and bronze propeller. New shaft and rudder packing. All new teak and holly flooring. New battery, cables and battery box. Bilge pumps front and rear. 1996 custom Elite trailer repainted with Rustoleum paint. New tires, wheel bearings and seals. Boat cover.
