The Grover 26 is a solid (hand laid up fiberglass ten layers thick) well-designed (based on the Verity Skiff) seaworthy boat, built for fishing and cruising. Al Grover, the builder, actually took a Grover 26' across the Atlantic. Approximately 80 Grovers (both 26' and 28') were built between 1976 and 1987. Long a favorite of East Coast boaters, a number of them were also bought by the Coast Guard and the National Park Service. Grover 26's have become something of a classic and can be found from Maine to Florida. There is an excellent article about Grover boats in Nautical Quarterly, Vol. 18. This boat is dependable, safe and beautiful and makes a welcomed addition to any port she visits.
