Hull number 3, built in 1942 by Greavette Boatworks of Gravenhurst, Ontario. Disappearing Propeller Boats were the quintessential mode of transportation for water-access cottages, shallow water access, and inland lake transport. This Dispro is in very nice condition and received fresh varnish in 2015. All original wood. Spoon blade oars included. Very few Dispros were made in 1942 and this is 1 of only 3 made with the electric starting E-1 copper jacket engine. Engine is equipped with a ring gear and Willys starter. Brand new Optima red-top starting battery in 2015. Runs well, shows well, and is a really cool piece of Canadian ingenuity!
