One of Century's most beautiful runabout designs, the 1948 Century Sea Maid is best known for its automobile styling cues and 2-tone blond and mahogany "torpedo" deck design. The steering wheel, dash, gauge cluster, and interior upholstery were all elements inspired by the Detroit automobile industry. This example has been comprehensively restored to a high degree. Multiple award winner since restoration. All new white oak frames, mahogany planked bottom, decks, and sides. The original Chrysler Crown M27 engine has been rebuilt and upgraded to a 12V system. She was found in a barn in 1996 and some of her restoration was completed by the second owner, a professional musician. "Bebop" is a homage to her second owner and the style of music that was popular in 1948!
