This 1929 Gar Wood Triple Cockpit Runabout has been beautifully restored and is in excellent overall condition. Originally owned by the Hollenbeck family of Lake George, NY and later owned by the Freihofer family of MA, she spent much of her life following restoration in a private collection in the Thousand Islands region of NY. Full no-soak West system bottom and hull sides. The Model-40 Runabout, referring to its original spec-speed of 40-42mph, was offered with both Scripps and Kermath engine options. This example has been repowered with a Chrysler 440cid which runs great and pushes the boat along nicely. The clock-faced gauge panel completes her dash. A total of only 61 Model-40 Runabouts were built in 1929 and this example is pristine and ready to go!
