This 26' fantail launch was built to the lines of a Thames River Launch, designed by Iain Oughtred. The hull is cold molded cedar with mahogany floors, stem, keel and counter. It is reinforced with 10 oz fiberglass inside and out with an additional outside layer of 4 oz dynel. The sheer strake, deck, coaming, motor box, and control console are mahogany. The seats are mahogany and douglas fir, the cockpit sole is douglas fir with a full length teak grating. The boat is driven by a 48 volt 5 HP motor made by Advanced DC Motors powered by eight T-145 Trojan batteries regulated by a Curtis PWM controller. Top speed is a sedate 5 knots with a range of 20 miles. An on board Lester automatic charger recharges the batteries overnight. This boat was completed in 2002 and has been to multiple shows where she has been well received.
