This is a nearly 100% original 1942 Chris Craft U-22. It has never been restored, but was stipped and refinished 15-20 years ago. Has been stored in a covered boat house since this was done. All wood is original and in sound condition. The engine was rebuilt at the time of the refinishing. Rebuild included turning of the crank, new piston rings, etc. This boat, # 22802 Model 42-23, was originally shipped from the production facility on October 27th, 1941 to George W, Mercier Inc, a Chris Craft dealer, in Clayton, New York. It was (and still remains) equipped with blue colour upholstery and linoleum. This model of boat sold for $2090.00 when new.
