Learn how the process works (FAQ)
This is a 1968 wood lap strake boat. It has a 260HP Marine Power Inboard (Chevy) with approximately 470 hours on it. It runs great! If you push it, it will power the boat on calm water to about 42-44MPH. Throttled down to 3000 RPM it will turn in 28 to 30 MPH on less than 10gal/ hour. Paint and Caulk are all in excellent condition - this is a wood boat that starts out NOT needing any wood work. There is no known rot (dry or otherwise). Fuel capacity is 49 gallons, and the tank is clean and solid - was removed last summer for cleaning and inspection. It has a new stainless steel drive shaft as well as a new prop on it 13x14 - this is the only thing that should be changed. It actually liked the Cox prop a bit better - it will cost about $85 to re-pitch the prop. The cockpit is painted in Grey fleck zolotone and not only looks great but also is easy to maintain.
