1955 ChrisCraft, "Sliver". We are only the third owners for the last 35+ years. Our boat was lovingly restored by us to reflect the day it was purchased in 1955 in Clayton, NY and used as the Ogdensdburg, NY police boat. Used only a few years before it was replaced, the second owner, Blairs Marina in Ogdensburg, removed all "police" badging and white paint to attempt to restore her to new. As these projects sometimes do, the "restoration" fell to the wayside and was never completed. We bought the "unfinished" boat from the bankruptcy auction of the marina and proceeded to complete the restoration. The benefit of all the years of "restoration" was that we bought her with under 100 hrs of use on the engine. Sliver has been perfectly maintained, boathouse kept and very much enjoyed every year since on the St Lawerence River in upstate NY. Sliver runs perfectly, looks terrific and will continue to be enjoyed for many more years. She can be seen in her slip on Wellesley Island, just over the NY RT81 bridge enroute to Canada.
