One of the last Highlander cold-molded wood models built by D&M before they converted all of their sailboats to fiberglass in 1961. Highlanders are known for being stable and secure. This is a large, high-performance racing dinghy also perfect for day sailing. She features a mainsail, jib and spinnaker plus an 88-pound centerboard. She was completely stripped to bare wood and refinished in 2017-18. There are fourteen Highlander sailing clubs exist in U.S. states east of the Mississippi and they are very desirable, mid-size boats.
