I am selling my fully restored 1957 Chris Craft Sportsman that was just recently completed and has little to no use on it and it pretty much perfect. This has been an 7 year project that I recently completed and have decided to sell only because I just dont have the time or space for it. The restoration was professionally done by a well known restorer in the antique boating community and I have a full documentation on the restoration with pictures along with the history of the boat. The wood is all Philippine mahogany which I am told is difficult to even get these days. The decks, sides and transom have all been replaced. There is a 5200 no soak bottom with all new planking. All of the original frame and stringers were used along with the interior side paneling and the blond trim are original wood. The dash flooring have all been replaced and the correct vinyl flooring has been used which I am told you can no longer get. The motor box is new and was constructed to fit the 283 engine as the boat was originally powered with a KFL 6 cylinder which I did not get with the boat when I purchased it. I also used the earlier glass style windshield as the boat originally came with the bubble style plastic windshield. The gauges were all professionally restored and all of the wiring has been replaced and updated with new harnesses. It has a new style electric bilge pump. The steering wheel was professionally restored along with horn button shaft and mechanism rebuilt. All of the chrome trim has been restored and the rub rail polished with dents removed. The interior has all new seat cushions and material along with an engine cover pad. It was redone in the original Turquoise color that the boat had originally and the seat cushions double as a flotation device. The boat powered with a period correct 283 Chris Craft engine that I am estimating was around a 1960-62 model based on engine casting numbers. The engine was completely overhauled and detailed, it has a new rubber impeller water pump, rebuilt transmission, carb has been completely refurbished and restored. The starter is new and the generator was converted to an alternator. The trailer is a single axle 1989 from a ski boat I used to own. It was modified and a new adjustable boom/winch made for it to fit the Chris Craft boat. Extra bracing was added underneath and it tows pretty nice without any issues. Pretty much everything on the boat is new, rebuilt or restored and the boat is in near perfect condition and as nice as it was in 1957. No expense was spared in the restoration and I am selling for it FAR less than it cost me to restore. You can save time and money and be out on the lake today in one that is fully done with no issues and is ready to go! $21900 with trailer.
