This is the real deal - an original John Hacker design, 151 class Pelican racer from the mid-1920's. This is an early step hull hydroplane design that was built for the 151-class, popular throughout the 1920's and 1930's. She has gone through quite a bit of restoration work years ago and is ready for a new owner to complete her. All bottom planks were removed, cleaned, and reinstalled/riveted as original. Rudder, steering hardware, etc all present. Originally campaigned as B-91 and bearing the name "Spitfire V", this is a rare example to find in such preserved condition. The Peerless-151 engine has received new babbited bearings, pistons, etc and is complete minus a water pump and distributor. This is a very worth project for the enthusiast interested in the Golden Era of raceboat competition.
