The boat was used to shuttle cottagers from an island on MacGregor Lake, Québec. Five years ago, with the boat headed for a bonfire, I offered to restore it. It took me three summers, and with much encouragement from the late Jim Potter, his son Charlie and the staff at Miller-Potter, I got it floating again. It was my first attempt at such a huge project and a very satisfying one indeed.
