Opus III is a 1926 Chris Craft triple cockpit with hull number 425. It ran as a speedboat at the Roseland Amusement Park on Canadaigua Lake in the 1940's and 50's as the "flash". The vessel was originally owned by Eugene Senn of Rochester, NY and was used as a Rumrunner across Lake Ontario during the years of Prohibition. The current owner is the 5th and has had the boat since 1969. It has been used every year since on Lake George, NY. The boat is in excellent condition for it's age. It has it's original bottom that is in good condition. The bottom is tight and has never been caulked. Decks and transom were replaced in the early 1970's and remain in good shape. The engine is a new rebuilt 318 that had new manifolds in 2002. The engine has only about 15 hours on it. The chrome and upolstery are good and the original gauges are all in working condition although not installed. This is an unrestored boat that has not been modified in any way.
