A rare opportunity to own one of Peterborough’s flagship cedar strips in good condition. The 16-foot Royal (68? beam) was the high end model produced by the company and marketed as “Gentlemen’s Cruiser.” It underwent a thorough restoration in the early 2000s, including new period-correct mahogany decking and windshield. The cedar strip hull is original and has never been fiberglassed. No rot anywhere in the boat. Powered by a 1957 Johnson Golden Javelin 35 hp — beautiful gold-and-white outboard of its day — in equally fine condition with only minor issues that pertain to finish. Boat and motor have been tended to by Allman Brothers in Huntsville, Muskoka Classic Marina and yearly winterization by Port Anchor Marine. Only fyi is that a new engine harness for electrical distribution (lights) should be sought for improved distribution of electricity. Boat, motor, and trailer sold as a complete, ready-to-enjoy package. There are only three Peterborough Royals known to still exist in Canada.

It’s a 1957 Canadian Islander cedar strip fishing boat. Fully restored to original with brass labels still riveted on it. Boat has been all refinished in proper stains and urethane to properly seal the boat. The motor is original 7.5 gas Johnson outboard motor and dated to the boat. Motor unit has been totally rebuilt, new piston ring bearings. Prop in excellent running order. Included is factory original Johnson outboard fuel tank with new lines. Cables are all good.

1954 Peterborough Zephyr 14' cedar boat. Includes the original 1956 7.5Hp Sea-horse Johnson motor and my dad's 1979 9.9Hp Evinrude motor (each motor has it's own fuel tank). No leaks, includes trailer. The trailer is the original trailer built for the boat by my Grandpa. I've had a VIN assigned to it, upgraded the lights and modified the boat supports from rollers to rails/carpeted boards (which are better for even support of the cedar boat). This boat was my Grandpa's and was passed on to my cousin who performed some restoration and replaced the windscreen. They used the boat with the original 7.5Hp sea-horse Johnson motor. I acquired the boat in 2019 and had more restoration done (since it had been in storage again for some time). I disassembled the 7.5Hp motor and verified the water pump impeller was like new, replaced the head gasket, and re-assembled. I've had an issue finding an o-ring for the glass fuel filter, so I've run the boat with the 9.9 Evinrude motor.

"Friday's at Five" is in immaculate condition. Always garaged and completely refurbished. This particular boat was shown in Wooden Boat Magazine. Electric start. Original motor has been professionally maintained and is in excellent condition.

1956 Wagemaker #9 Super Deluxe 16 foot ply-lap This solid, rot free boat was stored upside down in the loft of a dry barn in Michigan for more than 40 yrs. The 16 ft ply-lap was one of the most expensive models produced in 1956. Restoration began in late 2021. The hull was stripped down to bare wood. Pettit products were used throughout the restoration for sealing, paint and varnish (9 coats). All hardware was restored. An original (damaged) windshield was used as a pattern to make the new one. The Mercury 35A (with electric start) was revived with assistance from Waterhogs Works. The motor has two props, 2 yr old battery, two keys, period correct controls and a beautifully restored fuel tank. "Maiden" voyage was May 2024. The boat can comfortably host six passengers at 15-17mph. Since restoration, the boat has completed less than 10 hours of run time and has been enjoyed each of the past two summers with friends and family. In August 2025 the boat was awarded 1st place in the outboard boat class at the 2025 Les Cheneaux boat show in Hessel, MI. The sale also includes a custom cover, new seat cushions for the first and second row seats, a modern trailer and a pair of very rare Wagemaker water skis. The boat is offered at $7950.

Lucy is a solid boat mostly original. Decks and transom have been replaced. New wiring, steering cables. Used original Sandusky paint and varnish. 9 coats of varnish - 5 coats of paint, 3 coats of cooper bottom paint. Trailer is original - sanded - rust proofed and painted. New tires and bearings. Suzuki 25 HP, four stroke, computerized ignition and diagnostics, power tilt and lift, electric start, new impeller. Cost 4600.00 in 2016 and has less than 100 hrs. Boat featured in the 2017 Lyman calendar. Have not used it in the last three years, inside storage since being rebuilt.

Selling a fabulous Thompson wooden boat that is in excellent condition. It is attached to a fine Shorelandr trailer that can easily be hitched up to your car or truck. The boat measures 13 feet 10 inches long and was manufactured in Peshtigo, Wisconsin around 1955. It just needs some minor caulking along the keel to prevent leaking. My grandfather purchased this boat to take his young family down the Mississippi, which he did in 1959. Then it lived in garages until I inherited it from my mother. Concerned that it wouldn't float, i took it to Silverwood, changed the sparkplugs and got it checked out. No wood rot, water tight, engine runs great when you get the fuel mixture correct. Everything is original including the bimini! (with the exception of the locks on the cabinets and the spark plugs on the engine. Comes with original water skis, fuel tanks, and original sales pamphlets. This boat is in excellent condition, never been sanded. It’s ready for many more adventures.

Museum grade restoration of a 1940 Lakeside Peterborough 14 foot all wood boat - meticulously and completely restored. Comes with the original 1941 trailer also completely restored. This classic lapstrake, clinker-built outboard has been in one family for over 20 years. The boat was restored by a well-known restorer on Wellesley Island in the Thousand Islands approximately 20 years ago. Last hull repair was performed in 2010 by another well known restorer in Alexandria Bay, NY. For the last twelve years it has been in heated storage over the winter. It is in the water and running as of August 2024. The engine has had one recent repair, for a split shift rod keeper in the gear case. The hull and topside would benefit from a repainting and sanding/revarnishing. The Lyman is a lot of fun to tool around in and it takes the waves well for a small boat.

Original owner. Professional refurbishment of the canvas and paint was completed in June 2024, including replica decals. Johnson 5 1/2 HP outboard mechanically refurbished and test run. It is in beautiful condition and running well. The boat has not been in the water for 20 years but in dry storage. Includes antique oars and custom bows to support cover but no cover. Beautiful brass hardware includes oar locks, seat supports, and bow handle. Penn Yan serial number is carved in the wood.

1956 Century Palomino. Very original hull and bottom. Original interior was likely red and mostly replaced in 1990s with the present blue. Current owner purchased the boat in 2005 from a collector in Iowa. Previous owner had the boat 12 years and had it in covered storage for 9 years before selling. Boat was last in the water in 2011, indoor stored since then. Motor was fogged and winterized prior to being stored and turns freely.

From Alexandria Boat Works in in Minnesota, this magnificently crafted cedar strip planked boat is a truly beautiful example of a great quality regional boat builder. This particular boat is in fantastic condition with a nearly pristine hull. Pictures and video from May of 2024 show what a gem this boat is. The Evinrude outboard runs and sounds great. Alexandria Boat Works was a family business that made a variety of wood boats for 67 years until 1954 when they turned to fiberglass boats. The frames and strip planking on this boat are like no other. The plank seams are nearly undetectable on this smooth hull and it has been said ABW was one of the boat builders who claimed to have invented or at least perfected the convex-concave hull strips. The detail and craftsmanship in this boat is truly amazing.

Builder unknown, but an interesting home-built outboard nonetheless. Kept inside for the last 24 years and ready for a new owner to rig her with an engine and take her back to the water.

Here we have a rare and unique 1956 Lone Star. This is a 14.5' aluminum cockpit boat with a bent glass windshield. It has been garage kept but could us a little TLC. Once on the water it is a real head turner, and many people give compliments. We have had a lot of good times on this boat but would like for someone to acquire this rare unique vessel and that can take good care of it.

First year of this unique style in fiberglass after the fire that wiped out the wood boat production in 1951. This boat has been totally restored with a new transom and stringers. New upholstery in the original style. Rechromed hardware and the correct original bow light provided by Falls Flyer expert Paul Mikkelson. Second owner. Originally purchased by my father in law and was passed to my wife. Full restoration 2018. 14 coats Marine Spare varnish on the top surfaces and 10 coats on the side. Engine has been totally rebuilt. All surfaces painted with epoxy paint in the original color. Engine and boat were finished in 2018 and tested on the water. It ran 42 MPH and was still climbing. Engine is an electric start with push to choke. New upholstery for seats. Speedometer looks vintage but is a modern GPS speedometer.

1959 Boat with Fins and Brake Lights! Red fins like an old Sunbeam with functioning LED brake lights, The bottom was just completely restored last year. Near new 2018 40 HP Suzuki w/ auto trim with very few hours on it. Was out of the water for the last two years for restoration. upholstery was just redone, custom-made maroon canvas that covers the fins, a new plywood bottom using west system epoxy along with fiberglass. This is a no soak boat that doesn't leak a drop. Along with the new bottom, bottom paint, side paint and 4 additional coats of varnish on the bright work, she has a new outer keel, new outer stem, and most of the inner stem was also replaced. All the new wood has been coated in Smith's penetrating epoxy and then coated with a minimum of 3 coats of varnish over the top. She is fun..

My dad purchased the boat/trailer around 1968. Originally had a 1957 motor with no neutral until replaced with the Mercury 60Hp in 1986. Me and my sister learned to water ski, kneeboard, and tube behind this boat. Eventually outgrew the boat capacity and the family bought a Mastercraft and this boat went into storage. Father died about 22 years ago. I decided to try to get it back in the water around 2006 and did/had renovations to the boat. Got it back in the water and had motor problems. Life happened and it went back into storage. Motor rebuilt last year and we had it back on the water for 1 weekend. Life still happening and we don't have the need/use of it anymore. Would be a great boat for someone to tinker with and get it back in the water to cruise around the lake. Does have a few issues (knicks in upholstery, etc.) and it still has the original 'soak required' bottom.

Solid boat with room for cruising or fishing. Hull is mahogany, marine grade ply and fiberglass with silicon bronze and 316 SST fasteners throughout. Quality built from stem to stern with finished insides and a center opening windshield to access the front deck. This boat has a dry ride and enough V in the hull to manage most lakes and bays nicely. Solid electrical system with dual batteries forward, built in dual battery charger, dual bilge pumps, and cockpit lights. Garmin GPS with fishfinder/chartplotter and a VHF/FM radio. 90HP Yamaha which has been meticulously maintained with only 308 hours. Twin 12 gal built in fuel tanks (24 gal. total) with fuel selector switch and 10-micron filter. Bilges are clean. Two seats forward, a bench seat aft, and room for an ice chest right in the middle. A storage shelf is located forward under the deck on the port side and there is another spot to stow the anchor forward. This boat and engine were cleaned and flushed after every use, and it has spent nearly all of its life in the garage when it wasn’t in the water. This 1962 Grady White Pamlico is in very nice overall condition. Only 2 owners since new and described to be "Bristol". Powered by the original Mercury Merc 500, 50hp outboard motor.

Very rare Shell Lake Cormorant outboard. Built by Shell Lake Boat Co. in Shell Lake, Wisconsin in 1950. Strip planked cedar bottom, mahogany topsides over steam bent oak frames. Mahogany decks. Extensive restoration completed in 2012. Hull and deck completely refastened with silicon bronze screws in West Gflex epoxy-filled and redrilled holes; new external keel; a few new floor frames and frame sections replaced. Completely wooded and refinished. 10 plus coats of Epiphanes on topsides, decks, seats, and coamings. Varnish refreshed every 2 years, most recently in 2019. 1982 Evinrude 15 runs well and starts easily. Lower unit and carburetor rebuilt in 2012. Includes full mooring cover, original seat and seat back cushions and new convertible bimini top.

Original owned by the current owner's Grandfather and some restoration work completed by the family. A complete engine tuneup and service was completed in July of 2019. Used a few times and now ready for another captain to enjoy!

1957 Barbour. In the family since purchased in the 70s. Well taken care of with new varnish and paint every two years. Engine runs smoothly and provides plenty of power. This AristoCraft fully restored 1956 Torpedo is an incredible boat. The Torpedo was such a classic boat, AristoCraft is making a new replica of this boat. However this is a fully restored original. The boat was completely restored in 2009. The cold molded hull was in great shape, structurally sound and a dry boat. Decks are new, spring seat supports were veneered with original birch and the seats repaired with original lumber crayon stock numbers underside. All finishes are modern catalyzed urethane providing for a maintenance free boat. The motor runs well for the most. It has a remanufactured block, new magneto and spark plug wires, new six pole electric starter, new lower unit so it does not have the drive shaft corrosion that causes the gear lube to be contaminated with water. The motor control is a period correct Kiekhaefer. The trailer is custom for the boat with bunks to provide correct support, waterpproof lights and bearing buddies.

This Gentleman's Speedster was a custom designed boat built by Wayne Eversol. Only two of these were ever built. The boat has been gently used in fresh water since new and well cared for during that time. It is now ready for a new Captain. Engine ran great when last used in 2011. Stored indoors all the time. Still looks great. Has both bow and stern pole with flags. All original and complete. ready to go.

My Father in Law bought this Sea Coaster many years ago many years ago. The boat came from the Detroit area and the vinyl interior was in mint condition at the time. He restored the interior wood and had a professional restorer bring the hull back to excellent condition. He passed away and never got to get the boat back on the water. Restored to excellent condition and is now ready for it's first voyage since being restored.

This Peterborough is all restored and I great overall condition. There is no motor but it has a trailer which is ready to go.

We have been told that this possibly the only remaining MacBay outboard left. Built in Holland Michigan in 1958. The boat was beautifully restored about 20 years ago and only used once since. The hull is plywood and it’s Powered by a 30hp vintage Johnson. It sits on a nice trailer with good tires. The engine has not been run in several years but does turnover. Selling due to health reasons. Comes with a nice cover too.

I am the third owner of this original Shepherd, boathouse kept for many years in Canada then barn stored by a collector. I keep it in a boathouse all summer and the bottom does not leak. New Mercury 4 Stroke installed in 2018. Runs great!! Much faster!! New flooring and fresh varnish on the entire hull in 2021. Has the original convertible top which can be used as is but should be replaced at some point. This boat needs nothing!! Easy to handle and fun.

All mahogany wood, in good condition, could really be beautiful if fully restored. Is on a dual axle 25 ft trailer.

Very good shape , this boat has been to Mackinaw Island, Lake Huron. This boat can seat 4 or 3. Three is the folded bench in back, the boat has the full Bimini cover as well as the winter cover. Boat has been in water and run summer of 2012, all gears work and motor run great. Motor comes with a extra brass prop, swim latter, bilge pump. Boat comes with original trailer double axle, Pamco trailer.

I have searched everywhere and can't find a boat in existence that is like this model I restored the boat and upgraded the motor to the 85 hp mercury a 1961 mercury 50 hp came on the boat originally. We currently use the boat when we get time I believe this boat would be great for a collector to own

This boat is old (64 yrs) and will get a lot of attention and admiration anywhere you go, lots original and a few necessary/convenience upgrades. Has a top cover that could be replaced or used as is, side vinyls are in pretty good shape, prop is a bit rough and original, but serves its function. The motor is a late 70's Merc 200, fires up every time like a champ, well maintained, has a hydro plane fin on motor. Steel drain basin, good to hit the water as soon as you can license it!

1956 Peterborough 16 feet LOA, boat was completely restored in 1999 and has been kept indoors ever since. Has all new ribs, cut down sheer 3 inches, new deck configuration with single cockpit, new mahogany transom, and white leather interior. All but the planking is new, even the stem. Hull was treated with CPES and west system with 3oz cloth. Has wet-look gloss black sides, varnished mahogany decks. Boat rides fantastic. Full custom cover for boat & motor included. This Geisler Brothers has only been used a few times and is in very nice condition. The boat can be used for rowing and has a skeg or can also be used for canoeing. It weights 95 lbs and is made of cedar and oak construction. Painted in red interlux. The canoe can accomodate an outboard up to 6 HP.

This is a nice little Wolverine, with two engines available and a trailer. Wagemaker is a very desired classic outboard boat and this is a nice example. Not in the water for many years..but well stored and cared for. Very hard to find this model so take a good look. Fairly priced. In need of refinishing...of course. All else is good to go. The boat is offered with 2 motors inlcuded as a package and the boat is rigged for both of them. They are a 10 HP Johnson Sea Horse built in 1952 and the other is a 1960 40 HP Johnson Sea Horse. Both of these run well.

This is a very uncommon model of Chris Craft kit boat from the 1950's. This "Comet" model may be the only one known to exist. Reminiscent of the 1957 Chevy with fins and classic 50's style. There were only 2 models of these ever made. A 14 footer with 4 seats and a 2 seater 12 Foot Meteor. They were only made in 1957 and 1958. This boat was found in Iowa after being stored for many years. It is all original and has been recently refinished. The Montgomery Ward trailer is original to the boat and is in great condition. The 35hp Johnson Sea Horse engine has been beautifully restored and only needs to have the controls installed. This is a very nice, rare collectors piece for the Chris Craft enthusiast.

2004 16' Starcraft Aluminum boat with 2 beautifully restored antique outboard motors. One is a 1957 Mercury Mark 55 electric start with very rare tiller controls.The trolling motor is a 1957 Johnson 5 1/2 HP. Both motors run perfectly and include restored gas tanks. The boat includes much custom cabinetry and floors with storage under and large lift up front fishing platform. The trailer is a 2005 galvanized Bandit with spare tire and Bearing Buddies. The custom cover is of the best quality cloth and is new. Included are a Garmin fishfinder 250 and GPS. The oars are refinished antiques. This is a rare lapstrake fishing boat made by the Dingle Boatworks in St Paul, MN. 15' in length with oars and a fully remote controlled Yamaha eight horse engine. Family owned all of its life.

Hull is made of laminated mahogany, birch decks, oak dash. Twin 17 gallon built-in fuel tanks. White vinyl seats. Restored in 1990 by a boat builder. Hull is very solid. Appraised at $25,000 in 1990. Selling for health reasons.

This 1961 Sport Craft Ski King outboard has been restored to excellent condition. The engine runs great and is started regularly. It is a lake boat from Chicago with the original custom trailer. Rare cedar strip boat built in Orillia, Ontario. In solid original shape. Contains the original oars and locks with the Ross label on them. There is one known soft spot in the bottom. It is contained to about a 2" square section. This boat is very similar to a Peterborough

Current owner has had the boat for 13 years. The wood in this boat is in very good shape, no soft spots at all. The Onan inboard was a marine engine and very few of these Wagemakers were made with inboard engines. In the period that the current owner has had the boat, it has never been run. Instead the boat has been sued as a showpiece and a collector item. It sits on a small trailer which quite possibly could be the original trailer. The weight has been taken off the trailer and jacked up so that the tires do not suffer but not driven during that time. Overall just a neat little boat and fine example of a Wagemaker.
