Prior to the war Chris Craft would build a 23 foot version of their very popular Custom runabout or Barrel back design. In 1940 only 31 were built and in 1941 and 42 only 26 were constructed. After the war they never returned and as such are some of the most sought after Barrel Backs in the market. This boat is a previous multiple show winner and is in need of a fresh varnish. It has been in a private collection and is now being offered for sale as the owner has bought an even bigger boat. This boat won Tahoe in the 1990's and was used in all of the GMC truck ads from 1990's up until 2003. These ads were shot near Lake Tahoe and were shown nationally. This is Hull No. 1 which was the very FIRST barrel back to ever be built by Chris Craft and is offered with a great looking Custom trailer.
