This is the Shepherd Jr. Runabout with outboard. Manufactured in 1958 By the Shepherd Boat Building Co. located at Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario Canada. It is the only boat they manufactured that wasn't an inboard. Because it was made in Canada, very few were ever imported into the U.S.. This one was bought by me near its original manufacture location, was imported and passed U.S. customs and is currently registered in AZ. but is stored indoors at my summer home in Superior, WI. Details: This Shepherd is probably the best example of an all original unrestored Shepherd Jr. in existence. It has received only one re-varnish in its 63 year life. All wood is perfect, front seats and linoleum flooring original and in very good condition. It is powered by the first generation Black Max Mercury 100H.P. six cylinder outboard (year 1963). Runs like a watch and very few hours. It can achieve 45m.p.h., Included is the Trailer-Craft trailer that is also like new with very few miles on it. The custom bimini is new. I have a Marine Survey "Condition and Value Assessment that was made for insurance and value purposes , value $15,000-$18,000. Please call for additional details. This may be your only chance to own a beautiful classic wooden boat that can rival Chris-Craft for a fraction of the price. Note: The Shepherd boat company has been resurrected and is now building and servicing boats at Lake Geneva,Wisconsin.
