Made in 1928 by Duclon Boat Works of Alexandria Bay, The boat is a smooth Mahogany bottom with cedar lap strake side planks. The boat was first set up for "guiding" which was popular in the 1000 islands with local guides bring tourists out for a day of fishing or touring. These people were called "Sports" and as such the boats became known as "Sport" boats. This boat was fully restored in 1994 by Sutherland Boat Works in Penn Yan, New York. This boat spent all of it's life in the St. Lawrence River until 1994 and has always been in fresh water. This is a rare side steer tiller which offers a smooth ride in any water and a great piece of 1000 Islands history.
