This is an exquisite example of Gar Wood's design and craftsmanship. This boat has been in the same family since it's date of purchase and is completely original except for the engine which was replaced in nthe 50's. Boats like this are vary hard to find. The boat has the original Garwood manufacturers plate and has been boat house kept forever on the St. Lawrence River. Boat is offered with a survey done in the fall of 2004 and has been very well manitained. Underwater areas are generally smooth and fair with no eveidence of plug or fasteneing popping. The garboard seams and the chine seams appear to be toight. The bilge is a bit grubby and could use a good cleaning. This boat appears to be very sound and is dead straight in terms of the hull. Gar Wood only made about 30 of these boats. Boat is available to be seen in the 1000 Islands and is worthy of serious consideration and will only continue to increase in value.
