Gar Wood's two time Gold Cup Champion,(1918 and 1919) Miss Detroit III. This boat only one made,originaly built by Gar Wood and Chris Smith for Gold Cup Racing in 1918 has been replicated in (2005) to perfection in every way including the V-12 power, this boat is very user friendly and is as close to maintenance free as they get all while giving rides on a Saturday afternoon or at a Race Boat Regatta, basically a fun and thrilling ride. Miss Detroit's features include a full transmission and V-drive, Stepped bottom, hydraulic steering and custom trailer. Original photos of this boat exist in any book on Gar Wood, Chris Craft or Antique Race Boats.
