This boat is returning to the Antique Boat Museum from where it was once raffled off in 1973 by the Clayton Lions Club. It was won by Mr. Clifford Stillman who brought the boat to Belleville Ontario. The boat stayed there until it was purchased in 2002. This boat was originally bought in 1937 at Fitgerald and Lee in Alexandria Bay New York just down the road. The hull needs a significant amount of work. This project also needs new decks and a new bottom. The hard top is 90% restored with new wood. She is complete with all hardware, cutwater, and trim pieces. Tony Mollica who has written book on Gar Wood boats has told me that ONLY 70-80 of these boats were ever made and that today this might be of only 10 still in existence.
