This is a reproduction of a classic St Lawrence Skiff, built by Jack Walker in Perth, Ontario. It is a traditional St Lawrence Skiff design and is made from marine plywood and white oak. It is fastened with copper clench nails. Each plank is sealed in between with a sealant formulated by the builder, making it ready for water without needing to soak up. The oars have been counter balanced with lead in the handles. The boat was on display in the dining room of the Clipper Inn for several years.
