Learn how the process works (FAQ)
I’ve decided to part with my cherished 1972 Ray Bond Cudacraft as part of my downsizing plan. When it was hand crafted a 30% increase in the quantity of fiberglass was used in the hull and stringers compared to Rays competition, Seacraft and Mako. He was able to pioneer hollow main stringers because of the additional fiberglass. I spent 2.5 years completely restoring the boat between 2014 and 16. The Keys regatta in 16 was its first long distance trip. I insisted on excellence in materials and workmanship during the restoration as my intention was to keep it in the family. Unfortunately plans change. Here are some of the many things that were done: All the original hollow stringers (that were in excellent condition) were re-glassed as an enhancement and additional reinforcements were added on the outside chine area. Entire deck and casting deck (with insulated fish box) were custom made fiberglass foam core sandwich design with nonskid surfaces. The entire transom was rebuilt (also foam core) and integrated into the stringers with reinforcing bolsters. There is no wood anywhere. Reinforcements were also added to support the walk around gunwales. Additional fiberglass sealed foam was installed throughout under the gunwales to ensure positive buoyancy if swamped. Completely new tinned wiring, dual batteries (Replaced in 2024), Prestige Interiors cushions and seating, Garmin Radar/Sonar and thru-hull transducer, Fusion stereo, custom switch panel on console, remote spotlight, front and rear spreader lights, salt and freshwater wash down systems, bait well pump, transom underwater lighting, Lenco tabs, custom built Stainless Marine bracket with integrated ladder, marine radio, 2015 Yamaha F200 with approximately 160 hours properly maintained by Eric’s Outboards, new hydraulic steering and stainless wheel, custom T-Top and new Nautica Boats designed clamshell seat center console, full custom Sunbrella cover, new 50 gallon fuel tank and 15 gallon water tank, float on trailer with completely new suspension wheels and tires (2023), 308 stainless deck hardware and the list goes on. I have a photo record of the major repairs and upgrades available. I’m asking 60K.
