This 1948 Chris-Craft 17’ Deluxe Runabout is a beautifully restored post-war mahogany classic with excellent dock presence, documented history, and a practical ownership setup. Hull number R-17-1066 underwent a complete restoration in 2003, including new frames, a no-soak 3M 5200 bottom, top-sides, upholstery, and a rebuilt Chrysler Hercules KL 105 hp engine. The boat has been thoughtfully maintained since, with varnish refreshed in 2015 and 2024 and the transom re-stained and varnished in 2026. Stored indoors in climate-controlled space during the winter and kept on a covered lift during the summer, this Chris-Craft is well suited for a collector, classic-boat enthusiast, or lake-home owner seeking a show-worthy user boat with strong presentation and supporting documentation. Included are restoration photos and paperwork, a Harken waterline cover, and a custom post-war Chris-Craft Loadmaster-style trailer built in 2015.
