In the late 1950s Glenn Thompson from the Thompson Boat Company the largest builder of outboard boats in America started a company in Wausaukee, WI. With a couple of other former Thompson employees they set out to make the highest quality wood boat on the market. This boat was professionally restored with over $30,000 invested. The boat is in pristine condition, most of the wood is mahogany (uncommon) and all the ribbing is white oak. For efficiency a new four stroke Mercury 60hp outboard was added (presently less than 10 hours) . A new fuel tank fuel gauge and battery switch were also installed in the boat. Also included is a $1,800 custom boat cover and bimini top with cover, both like new. Vented wood windshield and custom seat cushions.The boat features a West System non soak bottom and a like new galvanized trailer. Always stored in a climate controlled environment since its restoration. This may be the nicest boat of it's kind.
