25 Feet 1978 Peter Freebody - #54595
$52,000 Location: Lake Oswego, OR

BOAT SUMMARY

Glass Slipper is a beautifully preserved 25 ft Freebody slipper stern launch built in 1978 by the legendary craftsman Peter Freebody & Co., of Berkshire England. Part of a boat building lineage that spans centuries along the River Thames. Freebody launches are renowned timeless design, fine joinery, and museum quality brightwork. Powered by a whisper quiet Nelco electric motor. Glass Slipper offers a serene fume free cruising experience with no engine noise or vibration, just effortless quiet movement across the water. In 2024 she received a new control system followed by fresh set of long lasting batteries in 2025. Her construction features rich mahogany and English oak, complemented by traditional "strawberries and cream" decking. The cockpit is thoughtfully appointed with a full width stern bench, charming kinder seats to port and starboard all upholstered in navy fabric with white piping. A varnished picnic table, polished deck hardware, a handmade mahogany-rimmed steering wheel, and a chrome floor mounted spot light complete the period correct aesthetic. Imported to California in 2010, Glass Slipper underwent a meticulous two-year preservation restoration. An extensive refit was complete in 2023 and she remains in covered storage and out of the water ever since. Custom fit trailer included.
