Unique Dutch “Grundel” Dimensions : Length 23 ft • Width 8' 4" • Weight approx. 2800 lbs • Material: solid 1" Dutch oak • Year built 1946 Hartog Buiksloot / Amsterdam Netherlands • Comes with solid heavy duty single axle trailer. • Has an outboard motor well that will hold 5-6hp short shaft engine. • Location: Gananoque Ontario Canada • Asking price : $12.000.- US This Grundel is a real classic and an eye catcher when she is under sail as well sitting on her trailer. She represents the traditional sailing characteristics as being practised for centuries in Dutch waters. In Holland she participated in many antique boat gatherings also she carries an official hull registration number # 82 under the Dutch Historic Sailing Vessel Foundation. She was brought to North America by a Dutch sailor in 2007 as he could not part with her. In 2017 she went through a meticulous 12 month restoration which brought her back again to excellent sailing condition. The work was done and completed by a Dutch boat restorer. Even to Dutch standards this vessel is beautifully designed and very pleasing to the eye. Right now she is located in Gananoque Ontario Canada and ready for a new owner who appreciates authentic sailing vessels. The present owner is no longer able to sail. The jib and main sail are made of heavy dark tanbark Dacron in nearly new condition made in Holland by a professional sail loft.
