This smooth sided 22' Hutch was one of the first design with a stern transom chine by Glen Furnace, a well known local marine architect, to compensate for the stern roll of the earlier lap strake models. During World War II the unfinished hull was stored in the Hutchinson Boat Works upper loft and launched in 1946. This popular utility was intended for fishing and family pleasure. It is equipped with a bait well, heavy duty anchor winch and powered with a dual carbureted 125 HP Chrysler Crown engine. The engine is original and completely rebuilt. The electrical system has been updated and rewired. It has served our family well over four decades during which time it has been completely restored and a recipient of multiple awards in the ACBS Alexandria Bay Vintage Boat show over the years. Today, this iconic Hutchinson Utility is looking for a new home that will appreciate and preserve her contribution to the renaissance era of wooden boats in “River” history.
