Chris Craft made only 276 of these boats from 1970 through to 1975. The XK's as they were called were designed by famed ofshore racing champion, Jim Wynne. Jim patented the lifting strake and designed several more of the then newer models for Chris Craft. Dick Avery designed the interior after being recruited from Ford in the 1960's to Chris Craft. He was on the original design team form the famed "Mustang" and the XK series did have the "muscle" feel to it at that time. These boats are noted for their deep V designa nd lifting strakes giving it a very stable ride at all times in all types of water.
