| BOAT SUMMARY |
| J. Henry Rushton built his first canoe in 1873 and by 1876 his canoes received honorable mention in Forest and Stream magazine. By the 1880's his canoes were found at world's fairs and expos. After 1900, the mainstay of the Rushton Boat Shop were the Indian Girl models. A record or 750 Indian Girl's were made in 1906 but very few remain to this day. This canoe is a very rare and sought after RUSHTON Indian Girl Canoe. This boat has resided in the same family for it's entire life and has always been stored indoors. The boat and all of it's wood are complete and solid. |
