The records for this boat confirm that she was built by Chris Craft in 1936 and was shipped by rail to Amsterdam, NY in May of that year for delivery to a marina on Great Sacandaga Lake. Daisy would then spend many years on Lake George before being purchased by the current owner and moved to Canada Lake. In 2001 Daisy underwent a total restoration by Spencer Boatworks, in the High Peaks region of the Adirondacks. This restoration included a total rebuild of her Model B engine by Mark Wilson of Brant Lake. Chrome was removed and re-plated by Graves Plating. The bottom was removed and a WEST bottom applied. Wiring was totally re-done to accommodate a 12V system. Daisy sits on a very lightly used 2002 Shore Lander trailer. All of the upholstery has been replaced. Lettering is done in gold leaf. With many new coats of varnish, this boat is “right” and “ready.” Daisy was awarded the “Best Antique 1930-1942” award at the 2004 ACBS Adirondack Chapter Boat Show held in Old Forge, NY.
