Antique Boat America.com is pleased to announce the opening of our 20,000 square foot showroom in the fall of 2005 on Route 12 in Clayton, New York, located conveniently by the 1000 Islands Bridge and the village of Clayton. As a result of our explosive growth we are building this indoor showroom to proudly display many of the boats that are in our inventory in one location. Clean, dry and well lit, this showroom will be the ideal environment to display antique and classic boats for sale and will include well known manufactures such as Chris Craft, Century, Garwood, Ditchburn, Riva, Dodge, Hacker, Hutchinson, Shepherd, Lyman and others.

We are located only minutes from Clayton, The Antique Boat Museum and the Antique and Classic Boat Society headquarters in order to make your visit a complete Antique Boat experience.

Located in the heart of the 1000 Islands, we will be able to show 85+ boats in our showroom which will all be for sale and allow the potential buyers to see a complete and vast array of boats at one time.

This is a sweet 13 foot Old Town Canoe " Common Sense" built in 1937. Canvas covered, the canoe weighs only 45 Lbs and is perfect for display or for use by one person who finds bigger boats too heavy to handle. It has spruce gunwales, oak decks, thwarts and genuine caned seats. The canoe also has copper stem bands and is offered in it's original dark green color. Built in 1937 it was recently refinished. The canoe does have a ding in one of the gunwales and also has a small crack in one of the ribs. the canvas is sound and tight and the interior is very nice. This is a collectible boat in a very collectible size and hard to find.

Being offered for sale is this very rare 13 foot Old Town Canoe. It was shipped on August 12 of 1937 to Mr. A. W. Paige of Ware Mass. This Old Town Canoe is a 13 foot Common Sense Model 50 which meant that is weighed 50 Lbs. The boat was made of Oak and Spruce, canvas covered and Dark Green in color. The canoe is in exceptional good original condition and would make an outstanding addition to be put back into use or for display.

Restored professionally three years ago in Ohio by a Lyman fan. No rot. Plywood on top of gunnel was replaced last month by professional boat carpenter with Mahogany. It appears that the transom was replaced a few years ago. Minimal maintenance needed. Recently varnished. Previous owner was the service manager of Marine Max in Sandusky Ohio. Motor is a 1956 30hp Evinrude, manual start. In excellent shape but needs the hood to be repainted.

The Mullins Manufacturing Corporation in Salem Ohio was, at one time, one of America's leading boat builders, contructing approximately 100,000 boats over a 40 year period. This 16 foot motor launch is an early example that is very original. She has been lovingly restored and shown at a number of antique boat shows, taking home awards wherever she went. The Ferro Special engine is original equipment, documented in Mullins sales literature. This early launch was well documented by her current owner and comes completed with a copies of original literature. A true collector's piece!

This is a very nicely restored Chestnut canoe. Chestnuts of this era were built in Fredericton, New Brunswick and are a fine example of Canadian craftsmanship.They were built under the holding company of Canadian Watercraft Limited. She has new canvas, new gunnels and decks. The interior was stripped and refinished. Ribs, thwarts, etc are all solid and in nice condition. Seats were recaned and are excellent. This canoe would make a great display piece and would be a pleasure to paddle. This is Canada's most famous design in wood and canvas traditional canoes.

This is a stunning example of Peterborough's fine Canadian craftsmanship. This is a gorgeous varnished grade Peterborough boat made of cedar strip with copper nails. It is a pre-1929 boat, exact date unknown. Very solid condition - Restoration was done 6 years ago and the boat still looks fresh and beautiful - 50 new oak ribs, bench seats, floor boards and a few small sections of plank replaced. All the rest is original including the removable seat backs. Recent new varnish. This boat is light, strong and a pleasure to row or show.

3650516 Feet 2000 Sailing Canoe built by Antique Boat Museum$10,000
Decked sliding seat sailing canoe constructed in 1999/2000 at The Antique Boat Museum in Clayton, NY. The boat was built to the lines of an original c. 1910 16-30 canoe named “Tomahawk” in the collection of the Museum. Measuring 16’ in length by 30” beam, it is equipped with a sheet brass centerboard, sheet brass rudder and soldered brass crosshead tiller gear. It has two masts and booms made from glued-up Sitka spruce, to which are lashed two synthetic sails made by Douglas Fowler, sailmaker, of Ithaca, NY. The hull is constructed from batten-seam northern white cedar planking on steam-bent elm frames, fastened with copper clench nails and brass screws. Modern screw-in waterproof inspection ports are covered by non-functional sheet brass caps. The mahogany decks feature a deck cap made from Butternut. The bridge on which the sliding seat rides is also made of mahogany. The spruce masts are housed in soldered brass tubes with turned brass trim rings mounted on the deck caps.

This is a custom (from-the-factory fuel gauge, engine temperature gauge and bow spot light) mahogany boat with Tango Red naugahyde seatbacks, dashboard and engine box top. Never been in salt water and is in good to very good condition. Everything on this boat is original, including the wood, bottom, windshield, steering wheel, engine, lighted flag pole and all of the Tango Red kapok flotation seat cushions. Both the boat and engine have 145 hours on them. Twin updraft carbs were rebuilt in 2011 and have less than 1 hour on them. The engine runs great and has lots of power. Engine box cover restored in 2015 with the original Tango Red cushioned top. I have a copy of the 1957 order form for the boat listing all options, with original boat & engine owner's manuals. Price reduced to sell!

One of Century's most beautiful runabout designs, the 1948 Century Sea Maid is best known for its automobile styling cues and 2-tone blond and mahogany "torpedo" deck design. The steering wheel, dash, gauge cluster, and interior upholstery were all elements inspired by the Detroit automobile industry. This example has been comprehensively restored to a high degree. Multiple award winner since restoration. All new white oak frames, mahogany planked bottom, decks, and sides. The original Chrysler Crown M27 engine has been rebuilt and upgraded to a 12V system. She was found in a barn in 1996 and some of her restoration was completed by the second owner, a professional musician. "Bebop" is a homage to her second owner and the style of music that was popular in 1948!

This is the only Jackson skiff that we have ever had to sell. Jackson was an Ogdensburg, NY builder that built several skiffs of this length. It is unusual in it's decorative style, opposing color woods in the gunwale and decks and delightful ceiling boards the full length of the boat. Twin decorative oar locks with two sets of matched Shaw & Tenney oars. All hardware is brass and complete. Brass name plate indicates; Jackson Boat Works, builder, Ogdensburg, N.Y. This is a well built excellent two person skiff in great shape that was recently restored by the owner who is no longer boating due to age.

"Ednandy III" is a meticulous reproduction of the winning Leveau Hydroplane that appeared in the 225cid class during the mid 1930's. The original hull set world records of 46-49mph with its original 155hp Lycoming engine. Leveau was the chief designer of the Dodge Boat & Plane Co. between 1929 and 1935. Best known for his racing designs, Leveau was responsible for some of the most inconic Dodge watercraft. This reproduction is adequately powered with a Chevrolet V6 engine producing over 225hp.

This lovely 1936 Gar Wood Special Runabout has a well documented history. Always a Canadian boat until recently; she was purchased new in 1936 by a 1000 Islands summer resident for his daughter's 16th birthday. "Acorn" was comprehensively restored in the 1990's, including a full bottom replacement in the traditional method. Well maintained since, low usage, and a 12V electrical system for reliable starting. Recent hull survey and compression test (excellent). Only 7 of these model-616 runabouts were built in 1936 and this is probably the most correct version in existence. Varnish, chrome, and upholstery are in great shape - this little Gar Wood is ready to enjoy!

This 1957 Greavette Deluxe Utility comes with a no soak bottom and is a real head turner. She still has her original interior which is in good shape and the original Buchanan 135 HP engine which runs strong. New bottom paint, port side steering wheel and all original gauges. A bimini top is also included which is very slick. A 1995 Shorelander single axel trailer is also included. The coolest thing about the boat is the way she sounds. Flags, extra prop, all safety gear, boat hook and fenders round out the offering and are included.

This Lyman was beautifully restored by the late Zeke Zeiz and won best utility at the Niagara ACBS show in 1999. The Graymarine 109 was completely rebuilt and barely broken in. The boat has had very little use since the restoration and still commands great respect for its condition.

You are admiring a 20 foot Wilbur and Wheelock St. Lawrence Rowing Skiff. Well known in the 1000 Islands area and in very short supply, this boat was extensively restored in 1991 and is again in need of refinishing and minor repairs. When it was restored great attention was given to using accurate materials and construction methods consistent with this builder. It is a lovely rowing craft with two rowing stations and can comfortably carry 4 passengers and / or cargo.
