This skiff was restored by Milt Carnegie of the 1000 Islands in the late 70's who was considered to be one of the best skiff restorers in the area. Today it is essentially a new boat and needs only varnishing and painting before putting it back in the water. An unusual design for Hutchinson this Triple Cockpit was described in Wooden Boat No. 49 as the "the apothesis of the sleek runabout". Modelled after the 28 foot Hacker Craft Triple cockpits but shortened for use on the St. Lawrence River, this beauty is a classic and in excellent condition. Originally named Ripalong IV and later Dottie V this boat has spent its entire life on the St. Lawrence River and always in fresh water. Bearing the Hull ID # 215-21E-1057 she has been repowered with a Crusader 350 in 1992 which delivers 260 HP and replaced the original Sterling Petrel motor. The boat was last in the water in 2004 and was carefully stored in a dry secure location. The boat only needs to be soaked up and enjoyed. |
|30414||26 Feet 1949 Hutchinson Utility||$80,000|
|By far the nicest example of this boat we have ever seen. Built in Alexandria Bay, NY in the heart of the 1000 Islands region, Hutchinson boats are known for their craftsmanship and ability to handle rough water. The 26' utility was a popular choice for the river and is very practical for entertaining or carrying a large load with style. Later examples like this exemplify Hutchinson's transition from displacement hulls to hard chined, planing boats with its modified hull design. This example has been beautifully restored. The boat shows extremely well and is well appointed with nice upholstery, a bimini top, and ample storage compartments. She also has modern power, a full cover, and a nice tandem axle trailer.|
|36021||26 Feet 1962 Century Raven||$12,000|
|We bought this beautiful lapstrake boat in 2002 from a family who often took long overnight trips on Lake Ontario in it. It's roomy and has 2 V-berths forward. Century built the Ravens using African mahogany with keels and ribs of white oak with silicon bronze bolts and screws.
For us, it has been a day-tripper - cruising on the Finger Lakes and in Sodus Bay.
I have a large barn and it has always been stored inside. I have personally re-done some of the mahogany. Small, cosmetic repairs could be done but aren't necessary.
A few years ago I purchased a new propeller and in 2013 I commissioned a fellow to custom make a new aluminum gas tank.
Kallusch Marine in Sodus NY. re-did the bottom. Then in 2010 a professional did the bottom again using 3M's 5200.It was a hard decision for us to sell it but we are in our 70's and health issues seem to dominate at the moment.
We're looking forward to passing it on to others who will enjoy it as much as we have!|

|37984||27 Feet 1936 Minett-Shields Launch||$149,000|
|The Minett boat building operation is deeply entrenched in the Muskoka region of Ontario. The company was formed in 1910 and later was reborn under the name of Minett-Shields in 1925 after a partnership with Bryson Shields. The company ceased operation in 1948 but only after putting out approximately 200 Launches and Runabouts which were all noted for their fine craftsmanship. This particular Minett is a fine example of Minett-Shields work. It is a 27 foot Launch built in 1936 and has a lattice "Muskoka" floor, gorgeous compartments, and attention to detail throughout. It is powered by a Chrysler 6 cylinder 130HP engine which is original to the boat. It is structurally sound after receiving great care from it's current owner of 20 years. The chrome is perfect and the interior is rich looking and gorgeous. The boat in our opinion would survey out very strongly and needs nothing. The boat was originally built for the Boxer family. The boat is offered without a trailer but one could be used for transport.|
