Eventually going on to build his own boats, Lyon purchased land in New York City and built 6 different models of runabouts including the 30 Foot Sea Lyon with a 200 HP Sterling Petrel engine which would sell for $ 5950.00. Known for their level riding and excellent visibility, 5 section windshield, the long deck boats were made to be at the high end of the market. Miss Canada IV was Canada's first challenger for the Harmsworth Trophy, emblematic of world speedboat supremacy. She set an official world record of 138 MPH in 1949 and in her 1950 attempt to best Slo-Mo-Shun's 160 MPH world mark, recorded a one-mile run of 173 MPH. On her return run at an estimated 200 MPH, the gearbox failed and she drifted to a stop one hundred yards short of a certain world record. The Wilson Racing team sold the boat in 1951 and she was later campaigned as Miss Supertest. Found in the 1970's by the Mistele family of Detroit, the boat was shown at many events and eventually brought to Canada in 2011. This boat is an important part of Canadian race boating history and is now being offered complete with her Rolls Royce Griffon engine and hydraulic trailer.

There it was launched on the Worthersee, in Carinthia where it was one of the first motor boats on the lake. After the owners death, the boat sat in a barn on a stack of tires for 20 years. In January of 2002, restoration began. The restoration was completed in 2006. In 2013 the boat was purchased and shipped back to the US. From there it went to Katz's Marina for another restoration. This included a complete motor rebuild by Dave VanEss, All new upholstery, bilge paint, wiring, fuel tank, exhaust and bottom paint. The only items not returned to factory original are the decking and fin color. The deck was restored using the Swedish style that includes maple inlay in the deck seams. This is a great user boat! This popular streamliner was built from 1937-38 and was characterized by its unusual exterior chrome cut water and hull side rub rails. Greavette's were known for such unique features as the rounded, non pounding hull, fireproof and explosion proof compartments and sound insulated bulk heads. AIDA II, one of the most photographed and documented launches of the pre-1920 era, was built by the Fay & Bowen Engine Company in Geneva, New York in 1907 and originally shipped to nearby Tupper Lake. AIDA II is a 25-foot “torpedo stern family launch” boat, one of a few hundred the company built between 1905 and 1920. In 2005, it under went a total restoration. Well over 1000 man hours have gone into bringing it to “as new” condition. While the hull and most of the seating is original, many of the ribs have been replaced and the decks replanked with a combination of white oak and mahogany, as originally had been done in 1907.
