Frequently our clients and friends think about “giving back”. This is all about feeling generous and giving back to the hobby that has brought them so much over time. For many reasons Giving back takes countless forms, from giving money to charity to helping a stranger dig his car out of the snow in winter. It emanates from countless motivations and can ultimately lead to benefits to the giver whether through tax breaks or from simply experiencing a sense of well being from helping.
A big part of living well and feeling well is knowing that you’re doing a good deed and helping others. When you donate a boat you are helping someone less fortunate and to furthering a good cause.
As part of giving back Antique Boat America will accept “donated” boats and present them for sale with 100% of the profits going to one of the charitable organizations that we endorse and strongly support. Donating a boat will ultimately assist these organizations further their goals and various missions. The “Not for Profit” Charities that we support and strongly endorse are as follows:
The Antique Boat Museum. Located in Clayton, New York the Museum’s mission is to collect, preserve, exhibit and interpret boats and other objects related to the history of boating in North America and to enhance public understanding and appreciation of the contributions of the St. Lawrence River region to North America’s boating history.

GRIN (Golden Retrievers in Need) is a volunteer-operated, not for profit charitable organization dedicated to rescuing and re-homing displaced Golden Retrievers and to educating the public in general about pet ownership. They carefully screen all incoming dogs for socially acceptable behavior and approve those whom we feel they can responsibly place. They also provide spay/neuter service, micro-chipping, and all necessary veterinary care required to place them in their Forever Homes. They provide public education by means of brochures, an informative and entertaining newsletter, public media appearances, and canine educational events, which focus on responsible pet ownership and in particular the Golden Retriever breed.

Raising charitable dollars is only small part of our strong connection and conviction to these organizations. We hope that we can raise awareness not only through these initiatives but by being involved on a grass root level within each of these groups to demonstrate that our commitment is genuine and core to our beliefs.
Boats donated to Antique Boat America will be sold and proceeds will go to one of these worthy organizations. For more information about donating a boat, contact Mark Krzyzanowski at 1-800-675-4089
