Learn how the process works (FAQ)
Consolidated Speedway boats were built for wealthy businessmen who mostly lived on or near Long Island and commuted to Manhattan. These boats were often referred to as "Limousines of the Sea" and were designed for the privileged who could afford this type of transportation for a leisurely afternoon cruise, a trip to the theater in the evening or to attend a yachting regatta. Some of the owners of these boats included names such as Vanderbilt, Morgan, Ford and Kennedy. This boat is a very rare 26.5 foot launch which was used as a tender for a larger yacht and was once owned by railroad magnate Edward Harriman. It is in excellent overall condition in every way and a fine example of a Consolidated Speedway.
