A jewel of 1000 Islands Boatbuilding History, this is an iconic 22' Hutchinson, smooth sided utility built in 1947. She has spent her entire life right where she was original built and has a very low registration number of NY 2 AB. In 2017-18 she underwent a roll-over and replacement of a section of the keel, both garboard planks and several ribs. The bottom was completely raked, re-caulked and painted, plus bilge re-painted. The engine, starter motor and alternator were rebuilt, and the exhaust pipes were replaced. In addition, new upholstery was installed throughout. All work done by Rich Jury, a local Hutchinson expert, in Alexandria Bay, NY. The work completed was extensive and will benefit her next custodian for many years. The forward seat frames have not been fastened in place, such that her next owner can position them appropriately for comfort. Flooring can also be completed at this time. A brand new Venture Custom trailer was supplied for the boat at the time of restoration and has no miles on it.
