Ditchburn built some of the most fantastic and inconic Launches prior to WWII; each commissioned and custom built. Originally commissioned as a Lodge boat for ferrying passengers in the Muskoka region of Ontario, this 36' Ditchburn remained in service through the 1940's until her bottom became compromised, nearly sinking. She remained beached and unmoved for over 40 years until her rescue. The boat underwent a detailed and meticulous 3-year comprehensive restoration, completed in 2001, to return her to former glory. The work was conducted by a preeminent wooden boat craftsmen and it is an acclaimed, award winning boat, featured in boat shows and competitions across the north country. "Skookum" is ready for your enjoyment with ample seating, including mother in law seat in the bow section.
