Miss Canada IV was Canada's first challenger for the Harmsworth Trophy, emblematic of world speedboat supremacy. She set an official world record of 138 MPH in 1949 and in her 1950 attempt to best Slo-Mo-Shun's 160 MPH world mark, recorded a one-mile run of 173 MPH. On her return run at an estimated 200 MPH, the gearbox failed and she drifted to a stop one hundred yards short of a certain world record. The Wilson Racing team sold the boat in 1951 and she was later campaigned as Miss Supertest. Found in the 1970's by the Mistele family of Detroit, the boat was shown at many events and eventually brought to Canada in 2011. This boat is an important part of Canadian race boating history and is now being offered complete with her Rolls Royce Griffon engine and hydraulic trailer.
