THE ULTIMATE PROJECT BOAT FOR THE SERIOUS COLLECTOR! Only a few of these models survived. This is a very very rare Chris Craft 1950 Twin Screw 25 foot Sportsman (Hull # S-25-201, Engine Serial Numbers 77474 & 77450). I purchased this beauty in 1993 as a Project Boat. It had been stored outside in a side yard in Southern California. The seller at the time represented that one of the owner’s of this beauty was Senator Barry Goldwater. I actually have a letter from Senator Goldwater confirming he believed he owned the boat. I have restored a few classic Chris Crafts and one Century prior to purchasing this boat. I completely disassembled all aspects of the boat and began a bottom restoration. The engines were torn down to the blocks. One of the engines suffered a major overheating issue but there shouldn’t be an issue to rebuild them to their original specifications. My goal was to complete the restoration within five years of purchasing the boat. However, life changes got in the way! I have managed to keep all the hardware, most of the original wood, interior and running gear throughout the years. Don’t miss your chance to rebuild the most sought after collector boat!
