Miss Rosie was built as a tribute to the Great Lakes race boats of the 60's and 70's. Frame is oak, hull is mahogany plywood. drive is a Mercury Bravo 1. Very FAST and FUN. The boat was built by Tom Costello of Michigan. He had previously raced in the 1950's and designed and built Miss Rosie to be a 3/4 scale tribute to the step hull unlimited lake racers of the 30's, 40's and 50's. He then used a bottom design from a naval architect, stretched it to 22 feet and added 2 steps and a somewhat deeper V for stability. She was never raced but appeared at many Vintage APBA events with exhibition runs. She throws an impressive rooster tail at it's cruising speed of 60-70 MPH. The boat is stored indoors always and is in good condition with less than 100 hours on the engine.
