Mahogany construction. Less than 50 of all Higgins boat are known to exist and less than 13 of this model according to info from the Higgins Boat Club. Built by Andrew Higgins in New Orleans. Andrew Higgins designed the Personnel Landing crafts and the PT boats used in WWII. President Eisenhower stated Higgins Boats helped win the war. After the war, Higgins Corporation built pleasure crafts and yachts untill 1964. The White Gold is finished in its original colors with a silicon bronze bottom job. This craft was purchased from the original owners and was meticulously maintained with the service manuals and records included with the book "ANDREW JACKSON HIGGINS AND THE BOATS THAT WON WWII" detailing the history of Higgins water crafts.
