This 1957 Thompson Sea Coaster was restored both inside and out and will be sure to turn heads when you are on the water cruising in this wood stunner. The hull is all original 5-Ply Douglas Fir Laps. The laps were inspected, tested, and tight. The hull was then sanded and all bolt fittings were sealed with MarineRX 2-part epoxy to ensure another 70+ years of on-the-water fun. The hull received a full Pettit System paint finish, including three coats of Pettit Marine Primer, four coats of Pettit Topside Above-the-Waterline Gloss Polyurethane and four coats of Pettit Hydrocoat ECO Ablative Antifouling Paint below the waterline. The natural wood finishes on the exterior are mahogany and sealed with three coats of Pettit Flagship Gloss UV Protecting Varnish. The Sea Coaster's interior hull has been sanded and finished with two coats of Smith's Clear Penetrating Epoxy Sealer. The floors are beautiful teak slats that have been sanded and hand-rubbed with teak oil. The seat backs have been sanded and sealed with two coats of Pettit Flagship UV Clear Varnish. The bench seat cushions are made of new open-cell foam and covered with new marine vinyl. The decking brightwork is a mix of original and additional, period-correct hardware. The metal and wood rub rails are all original to the boat. I've added a mahogany rub rail strip and brass nail detail between the top and second lap to protect the lap edge. The windshield frame is solid mahogany and dovetail constructed. All new tempered safety glass was installed this year. New wiring has been run throughout. The motor is a beautifully restored 1956 Kiekhaefer Mercury Mark 30 with electric start and is paired with a 1956 Kiekhaefer Quicksilver mechanical control. No other way to put it, this boat is sexy! The trailer is a Holsclaw Trailer from the 70s
